He was born during the depression, a tall and lanky lad
Sara and Charles were ever so glad
The oldest of five, an Eagle Scout too
He was destined to farm with cows that moo
While serving overseas in Berlin afar
He met his wife, a beauty for sure
They settled in Brushville, a quaint little place
And raised five children on a farm full of grace
His life was cut short by the deadly disease
But his joking and nature left us with ease
Happy Birthday to dad way up in Heaven
Hard to believe today you would have been seventy-seven

Happy Birthday up there Mr. Dad
p.s. I think cows are so cute - so the moo part made me smile!!
