Yesterday I posted about some abdominal symptoms I was having. I thought I was getting better last night, but woke again today with the sharp cramps, bloating, and frequent bathroom trips. The doctor I work for gave me a Rx to try for 10 days to help take care of these symptoms. The 2 doses I've had have taken the edge off, but it's still very uncomfortable. I am totally worn down from it and even was running a fever earlier. A bit scary as I was hospitalized 4 years ago for a mysterious colon infection the hospital couldn't explain! So hopefully this med will work and get me back in the swing of things.
My hubby is so good -- he let me take about an hour nap while he watched the kids for me. I was zonked out the entire time! And I plan to go to bed early tonight, after I read a while. I'm at that fun part where you're 3/4 of the way through a book and you just have to know how it all turns out!
My father in law was admitted into the hospital (again) today. He started having spinal deterioration last Spring and a few weeks ago had steel rods placed. He is having some reactions due to the narcotics/pain relievers he's on and they need to get him back on track.
We had my daughter's IEP meeting today. She'll be needing speech therapy to help her better pronounce her "r" and "l" sounds. The meeting was pretty simple and went very well.
We had borrowed the movie "North" (Elijah Wood, Jon Lovitz, Bruce Willis) from the library last week and got to watch that with the kids tonight. My husband and I have seen that before, a long time ago, but the kids hadn't seen it before. Still a cute movie!
And, my $25 Home Depot gc arrived in the mail from Gather this afternoon!
I am so glad it is the weekend. I got to take things slow once we got home today, and while tomorrow will be a bit hectic, I plan to try to rest as much as possible to get rid of whatever this is that I'm dealing with. And tomorrow is my little guy's bday! He got to take cupcakes to school and had a blast.

The Rx my doc gave me yesterday is helping, but I still feel a little feverish and very worn out and sluggish! But we shall see. Worst case scenario is I ask him to re-eval. me on Monday when I get to work! Convenient, isn't it? LOL. He's an excellent doctor.
