Teary-Eyed

Faith has tears! Not that I am excited to see them, but it is still a milestone. Infants usually get them around 2-3 months and today, when she cried, her eyes teared up. I changed her diaper then let Charis hold her for a bit. Propped up with pillows, she does a very good job. I stepped away to toss the diaper in the trash and that's when Andrew took his opportunity. Out came that finger straight for Faith's eye. Sure enough, he poked it. And as he pulled away, he grabbed her arm, I guess trying to pull her out of sister's lap. Needless to say, he got a bit of punishment. I picked up Faith and indeed saw the tears, not just in the offended eye, but in both. She was crying in earnest! My poor baby.

It only took a minute to calm her and have her laughing again, but there is something so precious about seeing real tears in a baby and knowing Mommy can soothe them away.
