I will let you read and judge for yourself, but the long and short of it is this Rep. Paul E. Kanjorski got an earmark for his family's company for 9.25 million dollars for a project for the US Navy and the Navy wants their product, imagine that. The company though can not produce it. Who helped him steer the money in the Budget? Wait for it John "earmark" Murtha.

Glad we agree on this point
Although it is painfully obvious that you care not one bit for our soldiers past or present.
Example: Larry Craig?
He's going to hurt the GOP really bad. If your Left, the Media become 3 Blind Mice.
"The U.S. Navy wants a business owned by the family of Rep. Paul E. Kanjorski to hand over a piece of high-tech equipment bought with some of the $9.25 million in taxpayer funds Kanjorski steered to the company."
It was not a jetski pump. It was part of a prototype water-jet mill. The company was founded by Kanjorski in the 1990s because of his use of jetski motors for other purposes. It was not a software company it was a development company.
Don - I don't understand your post at all. What does being an ex soldier have to do with anything? I get the impression you think just because someone served in the armed services gives him a pass on breaking the law.
How much does a Representitive cost these days? Does a Senitor cost more? Is there a price sheet somewhere that I could browse through?
I wonder what this means then?
"In July 2003, the U.S. attorney declined to prosecute because "there was no evidence of a federal crime," according to the report, which concludes: "No further investigative activity will occur."
Bear in mind, that this is the highly politicized, fraudulent DOJ we're talking about here, that is programmed to only seek out and attack democrats for anything and everything that they can find. I wonder why they chose to do nothing?
Seems to me as though there are some republiCONs who're feeling stung from being part of the most corrupt political apparatus to ever mismanage a government, and they're grasping at straws to demonize others.
It doesn't look like there's anything here, actually. Keep praying, though.
No, actually it doesn't look like much at all, which is undoubtedly why the republiCON DOJ walked away from it.
"It is too easy to point at republicans"
The culture of corruption remains unmatched as the superior pinnacle of corruption, sexual deviancy and perversion, and criminal behavior. Sorry. Facts is facts.
"as their own party stuffs freezers with bribe money. Dems dont even kick out those convicted for bribery."
Last time I checked, democrats booted Jefferson from his chair position the moment news of his investigation came out. You might want to re-check your facts again. Your usual suspect, right wing sources of misinformation seem to have forgotten to fill you in on all of the juicy details.
"What a joke!"
No kidding. Faced with an unending parade of corrupt, criminal republiCON politicians, the truly desperate have begun scratching and digging desperately for ANYTHING that they can find to divert attention. What better way to "prove" the innocence of your own than to find SOMETHING, ANYTHING on your opponent?
Sad and pathetic. This is exactly the type of sad behavior that one has to resort to when one marries oneself to a political party instead of anchoring on values and principles.
"Distorting the truth just to malign someone is not acceptable."
Unfortunately, it's all that some have.
(Sorry for the repeat. I gave you credit for a first name on the other comment.)
That's one reason why so many republiCONs are no longer in congress. What democrat has been convicted recently?
"They wont do that the culture of corruption is the democrats the only thing they can find on most Republicans is that one cheats on his wife and the other taps his foot in the bathroom."
Inventing "facts" once again, I see. Convenient for you. Yeah, the "only" thing that republiCONs ever do wrong is cheating on their wives (I thought this used to be an impeachable offense?) and tapping their shoes. Keep sniffing the glue, monkey.
" sorry i meang indicted."
Jefferson was removed from his chair position the moment that the democrats learned that he was under investigation, you fool. Stop inventing your own version of reality. You're entitled to your own opinion, but not your own set of facts.
"Jefferson will be found guilty"
Maybe. Maybe not. It would certainly seem that a partisan, political version of the DOJ would've brought an indictment against him FAR sooner than the 2 years that they waited to do so, if they actually had something worth pursuing. Based upon what we know about the fraudulent DOJ at this point, it seems entirely likely that this will turn out to be yet another fraudulent case brought against a democrat, for the sole purpose of damaging him politically. Time will tell, but at this point, it really doesn't look good at all for the republiCON DOJ.
"Come on they should remove this scumbag"
Yes. Every time a highly partisan, fraudulent, politically charged DOJ even so much as brings forth an allegation against any democrat, he should immediately be removed from office without any trial whatsoever.
Fruitcake.
No representative should be above the law , but accusations and innuendo are no reason to destroy someone's good name.
By the way Jefferson is a piece of work .
Has he been proven guilty? If not, then in this country, he is innocent. Why don't we wait for the trial before we execute the man? Personally, I believe that he may well be found guilty, but until that day arrives, he's been under investigation and has been indicted. Nothing more. The democrats did the right thing by removing him from his chair position immediately after they learned that he was under investigation. Regardless of whether or not he's found guilty, no politician should hold a powerful chair position while under investigation for something so serious.
" My point is this Joe, Why is it okay to talk all day about sex and not okay to talk about corrupt members of congress who are stealing our money"
Good point. RepubliCONs impeached Clinton for having a tawdry affair with his intern, yet investigations into massive corruption surrounding the likes of Jack Abramhoff and Duke Cunningham, among many, many others, simply seems to be an untouchable subject.
"Right now that looks like a bi-partisan list Stephens, Jefferson, Murtha and Kanjorski"
Actually, it doesn't appear that there's much going on with Kanjorski and Murtha, beyond wishful thinking from republicans, desperately attempting to pretend that democrats are just as corrupt as they are.
