* And a bit of trivia about those legs on the book cover - they belong to forgotten 1930's star Shirley Ross. I got them from inside a 1939 LOOK Magazine (in the full image she's sunbathing). It's okay if she looks naked, though - there's some sinning in the book. The shoes are my design (thanks to the miracle of Photoshop)!!! The shoes don't look sensible, but this is Hollywood!!!

(I already know for a fact there are people who would disagree with you about the unexpected ending - but to each their own - and always leave them wanting more!)

A German reviewer said it was a happy ending because there was "solidarity". He was very thankful for that. He was worried that it would end up a novel about loneliness. He didn't like my title, though. He thought it should have been called "Sister Agatha of the Streetcar". He was pulled by the ideas of the mysticism and hope that could come out of such a rotten life.

One woman who read it cheated and read the end first, wondering if my starlet gets shot dead, and ruined it for herself that way. The ending HAS to come as a surprise.
