very good. Just to liven the discussion up a little, has anyone ever gotten "frisky" at a civil war battleground. Don't think I'm crazy...I've read that civil war battlefields have something similar to the "mile high club" I mentioned this to my husband when we stopped at Appromatox a few years ago. He never ventured more than a foot from the park ranger. I honestly think he was afraid I was going to attack him. First time he ever turned down any action, if you know what I mean.
Sandra, you really should try to go. It's not very expensive. It's beautiful and sacred at the same time. Plus, there's lots of great bookstores, different food and interesting architecture.
Sandra, it is so nice there and Amanda is right - if you camp- you can get one for 20 anight. Also outside of GB there are hotels that are 40-50 a night. The Battlefield is free, and they are building a new Visitor's center . The new one will be open by 2008.
I have only been through PA, never to PA...we are hoping to plan a trip, a family vacation, at some point in the near future. Thanks for sharing these pictures!
