I finished writing another grant proposal last night. This morning my dear husband Shan mailed it for me. As he mailed it I remembered the wise council of a dear friend, "bless it and let it go!"
It would have been easier to have given up on this one. I had more distractions than expected. I had to push away negativity and choose to move toward my writing goals. The irony, the grant deals with writing about overcoming obstacles. The irony was not lost on me.
Today I celebrated by spending time with a friend who has also been dealing with obstacles. We ate together, planned a workshop, wrote goals for this coming year and rested out on her back porch.
It was a perfect afternoon and a well-deserved break. I didn't worry if I would get the grant, writing it was my challenge. I can almost see it floating through the mail carrying the blessing I sent it into the world with.
Tomorrow we head out to celebrate our oldest daughter's graduation with her Master's Degree. Isn't it grand to have so much to celebrate!

Thanks for your best wishes.
I came back to a full week and today (Sunday) almost a week later I collapsed and spent the day sleeping and reading, sleeping and reading . . .
Next week will be another full week but I've built in 2 days of rest. Life is good.
As a Christmas present for you, I will leave this holiday greeting on all of your photos and articles. I hope this will give you a little boost towards your husband's present.
I wish you, your husband and the rest of your family a wonderful holiday season with lots of love, joy and family time.
