HELP me please!!!!

My mouse stopped coping/pasting.  What's up? Anybody know how to help me? What do I do. It just won't do it anymore. It has it's own mind.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I am lame with it comes to these computers.  I can only highlight, no choice what do do after that, just blank.  Bless you, hugs, M&M

I rushed right over as soon as I heard your cries for help. Other than suggesting you get a new mouse, I haven't a clue.

if your mouse is optical then I guess you have to change it. But if it's the traditional mouse then you've got to just clean it up. You can open it in the bottom area, and then clean the joystick.

sometimes if your working memory is overwhelmed it will do that until some processes have stopped---does it continuously do that?

Susan has the first thing you should try. Unplug and a few minutes later plug back in and reboot. This has happened to me also and this did the trick. Good luck!

Thank you everyone. It is a wireless laser red beam. I will shut down, unplug everything, and then reboot. Will get back to you. This is so wierd. Thank you for trying to help. It was working and just quit. brb

IT WORKED SUSAN. Thank you, and thank y'all. That seemed so strange to me, but after I unplugged everything, rebooted, it's working. AND the puter is even going faster. So dear friends, I appreciate you responding so fast to me and helping me out. Huggers, M&M
