This little bumper sticker style poster came to me courtesy of Democracy For America. I like the name of that group, I also like what they are promoting. A withdrawal resolution.
I rather like the idea of a Withdrawal resolution a week, Every Friday Vote another resolution. We can’t possibly be in Iraq to Democratize it, Kuwait is still a monarchy, and so is Saudi Arabia. They do elect city councils and such, but the KING is still the King. So, in 91 we rescued a King from an evil dictator, then in 03 we put the dictator out of business, and the King is grateful. Am I deaf, or has Bush just not said anything at all about “Democratizing” Kuwait? Or ar we thinking strategically, we need the King of Kuwait to like us so we can stage our war against Iraq on his territory.
Now I have myself wondering how the other Arabs feel about that. What is the policy of Syria toward Kuwait? How about Iran’s feelings on the subject? I know what Osama Been Forgotten thinks of it. He is delighted. His anger with the US stemmed in part from the US troops in Saudi Arabia after the Gulf War. He considered the presence of American forces in Saudi a blasphemy against Islam. We moved to Kuwait.
All this is personal opinion of course, mostly because I only know what I read in the newspapers, and that is limited. What I see on the Television news is all about celebrities in rehab. I do hope they get well, and rehabilitated too. But who is going to Rehabilitate the USA?
Democracy for America.

As for celebs in rehab, we should care less about them and more about the real heroes.... And bringing them home.
Yeah, it's a small town, but there will be more resolutions coming downt the pike in the next few days.
If every town, city, county and state passes this resolution - maybe they'll finally get it.
