Don't mean to shout but Iowa has managed, for now at least, recognize that it isn't up to the churches or government to tell other people who they can and cannot fall in love with and marry.
I am very proud that Iowa is only the 2nd state to allow gay marriage. I hope the state government stands its ground and doesn't get bullied by the judgemental people that oppose happiness.
With all that goes on in the world and all the struggles that come with day to day living the best we can hope for is to come home to a warm, loving partner.

I was born and raised in Jasper County, and lived in Iowa for 28 years...before wandering off. I have always been so very PROUD to be an Iowan. This news just adds delight and warms my heart! Thank you so much for posting this.
Iowans are kind, fair, thoughtful, and progressive. The legislature voting gay marriage into law proves this fact to the rest of the country and the world.
