Ode to the Poets

To all who write the poems

They who take us to the world

Their words are a painter's brush

Each syllable a gift to the reader

Each line a picture on your mind's canvas

The Power to transport you through time

Stir up the flames of emotion

Or temper you as clay and changed

I love your poem. Short and sweet and profoundly beautiful. I write poetry too and most of mine is long and wordy, and yours wasn't but it was ten times better than some of mine. I really loved reading this, Richard.
