This is my first photo essay presentation of some of my creations for my new group, Artisan Goods. This will also serve as an example for group members on how to present your work.
I am scanning these items and hope they are clear enough for you to see details. I don't have a digital camera yet,so these will have to do for now.
Note to members: Please title each photo within your essay as well as the individual photos shown in the sidebar feature.
If you are interested in additional info about any of my specific pieces, please contact me via Gather mail.
The following added info is provided to: fulfill the Gather TOS requirement of this article being "educational, informative,or entertainment" value of content which Staffer, MaryAnne suggested and says could be used as a "best practice" example to other artists who want to display their work on Gather...

I have been creating jewelry and other art creations off n' on for several years....Once I returned to photography, I was inspired to incorporate some images as part of the design....Because the photos have to be re-sized to fit the charm frames, it is important to use simple subject matters that can still be detected clearly at such a diminutive size....the same goes with choosing a photo that is either one toning, or has a limited palette of vibrant colors...
I like to work with a variety of textures, shapes and colors....My native designs are contemporary even tho' some may contain traditional components....I like to use semi-precious stones as well as wood beads and stamped metals....
I don't sketch out designs beforehand and usually just choose some components in a pleasing palette that I like....I work rather quickly because I am always anxious to see the end result...
The names come easily to me upon viewing the finished piece...it is a good way to keep track of inventory,too.....
I was told by Gather that I can include a website link where my creations are sold publicly and will list that link here when available....Thanks for your mail queries and for stopping here!

The sunflower bracelet is lovely!
and your presentation is excellent.
hugs
Some day I'll have money for things like this
and I'll remember your amazing works of art.
The sunflower photo bracelet is exquisite... I am far far away from you lest I buy. :(
Meach > thanks...yes, i scanned the actual item directly on the platen...you have to use editing to brighten the darker areas which are not exposed as well since there is a gap from lid opening...i tried shooting the pieces with digi my son gave to me last Christmas, but need a smaller studio tent to help with the reflective light from the metals
i have quite a few new pieces recently posted if want to look.....one is another spotlighted photo essay called Paris: Bohemian style and others are individual photos
appreciate your feedback!
Film/Movie Ind. About 8-10 of the artists were Native of assorted mediums. When I retire I may restart my agency, now that I know more about using the internet as a sales aid. 25 years ago good web designers and programmers were hard to come by. You just have to get your creations out to the public and they will sell themselves. Good Luck and Best Wishes for a very successful future. Mal.
