This weekend saw us at Harrisburg’s Kipona Festival celebration, one of the oldest waterfront festivals in the United States. The Festival includes exciting competitions and events such as March of Dimes Rubber Duck Regatta; Kipona Artfest; the Kipona CanoeRaces; the Pennsylvania State Chili Cook-Off; the Footbag
Tournament; and the Breath of Nature Karate Tournament.
Today, there were noteworthy events such as:
A Native American Pow-Wow

Tap team two - anIrish and African Hip Hop/Tap team.
The Leukemia/Lymphoma Society 2007 BASS CLASSIC presented by the Capital City Bassmasters. The 2007 BASS CLASSIC at Kipona featured a first prize of $3,000.00 guaranteed.

There were local club booths, games and food all along the river front.
It sure looked like everyone was having a fun time getting together as a community for a great festival.
(For Harrisburg area locals, the Festival continues tomorrow, Monday Septamber 3. Find more information here: http://www.harrisburgevents.com/Common_pages/Kipona.html )
