I am hopeless with laundry....duh!

Remember when I told you that I did the laundry, and hubby and I ended up with a lot of PINK undies?   Hehehhhehe.  Well, today it changed to grey.  We don't have any cold water, and I forgot to separate colors.  After 30 years, do you think that I would learn? Duh.  Guess not.  Well, now they are trimmed in pink, and the rest is grey. I guess the black dress bled on them. :)

Tell me how you do laundry.  You have to be better than I am at it.  Hey, do you want to do mine, I'll pay ya.  I hate doing it.

I worry when I come home and find the laundry basket empty. When hubby does laundry he tosses everything into the same load. This has resulted in my clothing taking on some funky colors. He also neglects to sort the heavy duty stuff from the fine washables. There have been a few shredded items here and there and a pull in a sweater that can't be repaired.

i am not good at seperating laundry. it is usually the first couple times you wash something that you have to worry about it. after that, the color that is going to come out has already come out.

LOL, don't wash anything white with anything colored. My step dad once turned ALL of our cloths pink with ONE red shirt.

lol. I prefer doing all of my laundry on cold water, but now I'm in a place with a washer that only has hot water. I'm feeling sort of anxious about it. I always separate whites, though, even though I don't use bleach. They just seem to stay whiter.

Thanks for sharing everyone. I must be so lazy, as I didn't separate a thing. I hate doing laundry, and I guess it shows for now. Good thing they were undies. :)

I'm not the best housekeeper in the world, and my MIL would agree with that. I had to laugh though when we were staying out of town during the illness of a family member and she did the laundry. All of my rights turned pink.

I'm good at separating laundry...I have different baskets for lights, darks, and linens. I just forget to check pockets!

I separate mine into three groups: whites, pinks and reds, and everything else. And, I wash everything on cold every time.

I do colors and whites (or near whites) separate, cold water and bleach the whites about every 3 rd load.

I'm like Bundy P. I have a roling cart with 3 seperate parts for sorting Darks/white/lights/and then I do all my delicates on cold and slow agitation & hand just about everything to dry so that it doesn't shrink/fade But I still hate laundry. I just have a control problem :)~

I am doing laundry today, but my whites are still white. I have turned some of my husbands white t.shirts pink in the past.
