I wonder if anyone will admit to being 100% cheap. Some of those measures sound pretty extreme to me. But I have bought those light bulbs that automatically turn off after 5 minutes of being out of a room. Great for garages and kids' rooms.
I'm pretty frugal. Have to be. (2 small kids) Anyway do alot of shopping at Aldi's and yard sales. And I like finding really great stuff and NOT paying full price for it at the store.
But we still like Beanie Weenies - Baked beans and hot dogs, sliced, some extra BBQ sauce or Ketchp, a piinch of sugar. It is our too tired to cook meal
Christopher - I guess that brings up questions about the difference between cheap and frugal. I think that frugal is considered a nice word but cheap is considered an insult by many people.
What I mean is that more people would feel offended if someone said, "Oh, you are so cheap!" but if someone said, "Oh, you are so frugal!" it would sound better because it would imply they don't waste money. But cheap sounds like a Scrooge, just stingy and mean. Does anyone else feel that way about those two words.
Kimberly - Hey you are cheaper than I am..I wonder what your secret is? There were a few tactics there that I couldn't quite do but I forget what they were. Did I mention that I have a short attention span, LOL?

Yay for me! I've beaten my Scottish heritage...hehe. The rest of my family would most likely be in the 90's...I'm just special like that.
