I woke up today wondering what kind of glorious glory I was going to try and milk out of this day (it gets hard to do that each and every day but I do TRY).
I always wake up so vacant feeling. It takes me awhile to remind myself who I am and why I am fabulous.
Coffee helped the mood (it ALWAYS does). Coffee must be proof that there is a God and he loves us. I used to think it was beer, and then red wine, but now I'm voting for coffee, but I digress.
Then I looked at my email and I got a contract from Chippewa publishers to do my (rather long) short story in ebook called MURDER ON THE FRANKENSTEIN SET. It is a murder mystery and takes place in the 60s at RKO on the set of a Frankenstein movie! It's my first short story. A while back Chippewa had said it wanted to shy away from full novels and publish longish short stories so I wrote one just for the occasion and THEY SAID YES. My first thought was, "YAY, THEY DON'T THINK I'M A LOSER!" (my novel HIDDEN RIVER has been with them long enough, now, that they could have decided that - but they haven't!!!! Woot!!! They're taking on more more more!!!!).
SO I'm bragging and bragging and tooting my horn today!!! YAY YAY YAY
