I should be in bed, however..

Last night I crashed early. Basically, after my last post here about not getting chores done, I took it a step further, and took the kids to the pool. I had walked with my neighbor down to get the mail, and it was BOILING hot out, so I caved in and took the kids down to swim. After all, it's almost September, and our chances to laze around the pool are running out.

My husband likes to skip lunch on Wenseday, and come home at 4 instead of 5, so he found us still at the pool, but the kids were getting whiney and fighting, so shortly after he showed up (sans suit), we went home. By then, I was starving, as was he, so we made dinner way early, then settled in to relax for the night.

Oops, I realized that in order to go get Gilly's birth certificate today, I needed money from the bank. Luckily, it was only 5:10, and the bank closes at 5:30, so I hauled butt there, got money out, stopped at the grocery store and picked up fresh baked chocolate chip cookies, and milk, then off to the video store where I rented Blades of Glory, and Annapolis.

On the way home, I drove past a school where the parking lot was full, and thought, "Must be orientation night..." then I thought, "Oh crap, I bet it's Raegan's orientation night, too!" And it was.

So, I ended up coming home, cattle prodding her into the car as fast as possible, and driving over to her school. There was no parking- mainly because of the 3 soccer games going on, on top of 7th grade girls basketball try-outs, and the 6th grade orientation. Joy!!

Anyway, all that, and I get inside only to find out that she isn't going to be doing anything for orientation, because she wasn't formally signed up yet, and orientation is when they hand out the kids class schedules, and lockers. So, I handed over my paperwork, got her all signed up, and we go back at somepoint today to get her class schedule.

By the time I got back here, I was ready to just sit down, watch a movie, and sleep. It was around 8 when we put in Blades of Glory. It was around 8:15 when I fell asleep.

So, here I am, 5am, wide awake and perky. I should go shower, then watch Blades of Glory, then head out of here right afterwards so I can get to Ithaca to get the birth certificate, and back again -before- Nick has to go to work. :)
