Are your GatherPoints™ updating?

My points seemed to update proportionally yesterday, and also on Monday after Gather recovered from its crash. The GatherPoints™ were kind of spastic the weekend directly following the upgrade but had smoothed over the rest of last week.

But today ... they have not moved ... shrug.

My gather points have seemed to accumulate slowly this month, even though I'm commenting and posting as much if not more than last month (when I earned over 3400 points). This month, I'm struggling to break 3000. UGHH!

My points always move slowly, but are less than usual. I wonder what is up?

Mine usually update just after the hour. For the week of the 13th, mine hardly went up at all. Then on the 24th, I went up by over 300! That's the most I have ever gotten in 24 hrs outside of the photo promotion. I keep track daily and they have been going up about 100 per 24 hrs.

After the last update I have to make at least three more comments to earn one measly little point. Is this happening to anyone else, or is Gather sending me a message?

I got 4 today but have done some posting, publishing and whatnot. I'm not too worried though. sometimes they take a while it seems.

Maybe this is a stupid question but I'm not even sure how we get points? Do we get them for commenting? For publishing? Or for the number of comments we get?

we all like to at least pretend that they eventually show up ...
but in reality, I know that is not truly the way it is ...

Seems like my point count is dragging big time! From over 3000 in the month of June to just barely 300 in the month of August. I'm not commenting as much as I should but that never caused a steep decline before this last upgrade...

The answer is (E) All of the above!

Gather supposedly dishes out points for publishing articles and images (videos too), for commenting on and rating other member's content, receiving comments and ratings on your content ... and every third Friday you get a point for scratching your nose ... just kidding! (-;

I've taken a serious drop in points. I didn't understand why because until they got up this high they didn't matter to me. But I don't get near the points I used to and I think I am commenting more.

I have been commenting more, and have written more articles, but my points seem to barely be creeping up.

I don't seem to be gaining any points for publishing at all. Granted, I guess even if somebody comments you don't get points unless they rate, right? I don't know how it works, but it seems to me that the only time I ever get a significant number of points is when I comment and not when I contribute to Gather and sometimes not even when I get commented on? I don't get it. Maybe they are using it as a behavior modification system?

Oh wait...that is basically what it is, come to think of it!

I always seem to get roughly the same points, whether I spend hours on here and write my little heart out or if I just casually look around. Doesn't make me want to spend the hours anymore.

I was just saying to another connection that I don't think my points are updating properly since the weekend. I think I am owed quite a bit with all the commenting and uploading I've been doing. They're barely budging tho. Has anyone contacted Gather to ask?

With all the continued problems...and new ones cropping up to replace old ones...it doesn't seem that Father knows what they're doing or what's going on. Granted, I haven't been posting, but I have been rating and making some comments, but my points are not moving according to what they should...at least the way they have in the past (minus posting.) Maybe this is to make up for all the times they gave me extra points others weren't getting...like when they gave me 20 points per picture during their "10 Point Per Photo" promotion. Who knows what's going on? All I can say is they better not mess with my cash when I send for a check...or I'm going to be ticked off and there's going to be all kinds of hell to pay...if I don't get paid! These people don't know how bitter I can get and what I'm capable of in seeking revenge...LOL!

They did seem to be moving rather sluggishly since the upgrade. I should pay attention more closely. It looks as if it's a sitewide issue.

A couple of days ago I got a bunch of points - ok around 100, but for the most part I get about 20-50 even though I feel like I'm doing as much as I used to do. I do seem to get more points on the days I post photos than the days I post poems. I think I might get more points for posting to some groups over others. Some days I answer some of the games and my points go nowhere and other days when I post and comment in weightier groups I get more points.

Mr. Bill, I don't keep too close of an eye on my points to know when they are updated and how they accumulate. They seem to be doing fine for me this week. I do take closer notice when there is a promo going, like the video for 25 pts. Then I look for a good jump in quantity.
But, then, you know Gather, if it's not one glitch, it's another!

I get one point for every comment I get on an article...that is all. It is much slower that before the last upgrade. I have asked for answers, and I did hear today that they received my email...maybe I will know something soon.

Nope. After a week of my usual activity I accumulated a whopping five points. I used to accumulate over 20 points a day of just casual commenting with no publishing, so there's definitely something amiss.
