Bars are easier to make than cookies.

M & M Bars

1 1/2 C. Brown sugar
3/4 C. Butter, softened
1 t. Vanilla
2 Eggs
2 1/4 C. Flour
1 C. M&M's candies
1/2 C. Chopped nuts (optional)
1 t. Baking soda
1/2 t. Salt

Heat oven to 350° F.

Mix brown sugar, margarine, vanilla and eggs in a large mixing bowl until well blended. Stir in remaining ingredients.

Spread in a 9 x 13 pan. Bake 20-25 minutes til golden brown.

Sprinkle with additional candies if desired.

Remove to wire rack to cool.
