August seems to be a bad month for Gather and me. We actually got out and enjoyed the summer a bit more this month and then my son got sick and then myself of course. Never fails! My husband escaped it of course because he is not home as much with our son as I am.
Now I have to work on cross stitching a baby blanket for a good friend of mine that is pregnant with her first child. It took me so long to find something that I wanted to make and when I actually opened the package the other day I realized this is going to be a bigger project than I was expecting. I also have some jewelry to make and some mission rosaries. I also have to make some Christmas presents for some friends of mine. I have slacked on so much the past few months and I really have to get in gear starting with the blanket considering she is due 9/20.
But, here is the true reason that I won't be able to get on the computer! It seems I have some competition for time already and he is only 3 1/2!
He has been on a few hours already and I almost had to kick him off so I could send an e mail and do this article!

But he looks like he could be on Gather by the time he is 14 thats a reasonable age mom would let him...if he could...he could be on by the time he is seven...lol :)

Briggette: I have been able to keep him off it mostly until we found the Thomas coloring page on line. I can't get him off the computer and now he pesters me everytime I am on line!
Sara: Thank you! You are sweet. I will drop in as much as I can. My plan is to work on the blankets most of the day and in the afternoons and evenings I can get on the computer and do my surveys and Gather. My son will just have to share!

Leslie: Yes, I think I will have some good competition. My husband isn't too hard to fight off but my son knows how to charm me into just about anything! My computer is already in the living room so no matter what I will be watching when the time comes lol I know it is early but he might as well as get used to the surroundings now. I will get all the projects done and when I do I will post the pictures. I am actually looking forward to being busy since we are both feeling better now.
Susan: No kidding! I already told my husband to start thinking about another computer!
JR - It is alot but I have always done things this way. Committed myself to way to much at once but I always seem to get it done some how. It is just going to take some creative time management since some of it has a time frame. My son is easy to occupy now that it seems he likes the computer. Some of the other projects he can help with.

Michelle: He is really into the Thomas the train site and he likes Barney. There is a new show coming out that has a site that I am going to let him play today. The show is called Super Why and it starts on the 9/3. It has a few learning games on there that I want him to play.
Audrey: Right now I have him watching the Curious George movie so for the next few minutes it is mine!

Kathryn: I try to set limits. Right now it has been really too hot to go out during the day so he has been on the computer most of this week but it can be hard to get him off. My plan was to be on most of the day but I had the air conditioning guy here and he got the computer and I couldn't get as much work done on the blanket that I would have liked to but there is always later and this weekend. We have already talked about getting us a new computer and letting him have this one for games. We will see what happens.
