What is the best thing about where you live? (city or home) My home is a street off of a main road, but it is NOT a main road. handy without the hassle.
What is the worst thing about where you live? (city or home) My neighbor, who thinks lawns and yards should all be neat little boxes of flowers and he only knows grass, flowers and trees in the neighborhood. (he also likes to build fire pits after he is three sheets already and his vision is questionable at best!
I like my apartment. It has a very home feeling. Very comfortable.
I don't like that it's two blocks from the main road in town. All the emergency vehicles, start and stop traffic and things. Which when the windows are closed I don't hear but I enjoy fresh air.
The best is that we have lots of land and it is a beautiful area. The worst is it is a beautiful area and tons of people come in the summer months. This is the last big weekend, then they all head home, and we can once again score a loaf of bread at the local store!!
Best Thing is that I love this house. It's not too close to any neighbor, so they can't see how noisy we are. We sit in our lot parallel to the road in two lots, where the other houses are perpendicular to the road on one lot. So we have room on both sides.
The worst thing is how busy our street is. It's a residential area, but a lot of people use it as a 'shortcut' to get to another busy street, so there's always traffic on it.
Best: the amazing diversity of color that comes with the changing seasons, and the lushness of area during fall, spring, and summer. It's breathtaking.
Worst: I have to drive about 1/2 hour to get to a store big enough to sell an ink cartridge for my son's computer, or diapers that are not painfully ovverpriced (for the convenience). Other than McDonald, Wendy, Burger King, Taco Bell, Subway, Quiznos, and Pizza Hut there are no chains really close by, enough so that the impulsive "Let's go out for dinner" comment that my husband might fall for. He's not going to drive that far to eat. I would love to have a Papa Johns, Olive Garden, and Honiuri (I'm sure I butchered that- but that chain where the chief cuts, cooks and serves around your table. I would have to drive 50 minutes for that.
interesting questions today.. the best thing i think of where i live it at is no matter what time you wake up at night or if your bored.you can go somewhere.. here in Vegas everything is open 24/7,its great
the worst hasta be the idiotic drivers and maybe the heat also besides new york and jersey,Vegas absolutely has the worst drivers
The neighbors don't bother us but I don't even know some of them now - we llive in a condo/townhouse community and the housing market in the Baltimore/DC area is always on the move - of 12 condos in our building, 10 have new owners and the new guys/gals are not the ones to follow the rules about picking up after their dogs and keeping it quiet between midnight and 6 am.
Best thing...there are a lot, so it is hard to pick one. We are on the ocean/bay so we have great weather.
Worst thing....We have been fighting over a sewer for more than 20 years. Our local government has gone backrupt over the issue and we still have no decisions made. They even broke ground on one site only to have that stopped with major protests and then a vote that changed all of the members on the board. That was two years ago and still no progress.
how Ky has the best of all weathers. i love it because i've lived here all my life. lol bad thing? the most traveled bridge we have in town was declared in need of repair cause some of the supports are going bad!
