All you need to know about me is that I was born in Long Branch, New Jersey and that makes me an official American Citizen. I thought that was all I needed to follow my path to achieve my dreams and happiness, but I was wrong. I was lied to - I was deceived - I found out that our American society is filled with labels. We have an obsession in labelling and organizing everything and everyone. This has been tormented upon me since the day I was born. Here are just a few of my labels - male, Puerto Rican, Hispanic, Spanish, Latin, gay, college graduate, New Jersian, Floridian, ETC....ETC.... (you get my point). So now I get judged; even though I am an AMERICAN, certain rights are taken away from me - denied to me - because of one of these labels. When the only label that should matter is that I am a BORN AMERICAN. So all you need to know about me is that I am an American that should have every right entrusted to me on the day of my birth OCT 31, 1970.

"People are people so why should it be, ..."
Seriously, I keep this in mind as I move through life "judging" people - thanks for the candor.
