OK, some of you may have read my article here: http://www.gather.com/viewArticle.jsp?articleId=281474977096849 about how the LA Times had someone come and give me a refund in person of $1.50. If you don't have any idea what I'm talking about, go to the link above to get updated. :D
So I thought after them giving me $1.50 refund that meant it was over. I was one happy camper and tinkled pink that the LA Times had someone give me $1.50 IN PERSON! lol. But in yesterday's mail, there was a large package from the LA Times. I opened it and it was a copy of the Sunday paper from August 19th, the one I had tried to buy and got the Saturday instead! They paid $5.40 to send it to me priority. Let's just say I was shocked.Â
I think they went above and beyond. They did all of this for a $1.50 newspaper. I didn't really think badly of them before but I certainly have a high opinion of their customer service now. And to think I wasn't going to hear from them at all since a week had passed by. So I have what I wanted, the coupons from the Sunday paper. And yes, the coupons were slightly different (with a few being the same) then the ones that are offered in my local paper. I think I'll make it a point to buy the LA Times Sunday paper but you can bet that I'll be checking the date before I put in my money. See...I never thought of doing that. I don't buy the paper often enough to have thought of that. Lesson learned.
