I have always been fascinated with looking at the heavens. As a child, I would sit for as long as my parents would let me, looking at the stars and asking questions about how I could go up into the stars. My father found a nice (at that time) set of binoculars at a thrift shop and we would look at the craters on the moon and at the stars.
Last night's lunar eclipse was the first time in many years that I have had the opportunity to indulge my love of skywatching. I was home alone so I stayed up for the duration of the lunar eclipse, going outside and taking pictures about every ten to fifteen minutes. I wish I had has some binoculars or a telescope so I could have seen details, but I am glad to have had the opportunity to see as much as I did.

This one is super...a BLUE MOON!

Just one more...

By about 4:50, the moon was bright and white once again. It was fun while it lasted!

I don't know if this is the right one to make the link work yet.
I think it is different with different programs.
They said this one was going to be reddish, and it was when I saw it--a little.
Great pictures--I didn't even try taking any. My camera reacts badly to white clothes, so I don't know what it would do with moonlight....
