I have been here 13 months. In a few words, I love it. I have always taken gift cards. Always as gift to others. I have kept one $25.00 Barnes and Noble card for myself, my first gift card. I bought ten history and poetry books with it. I'm a very thrifty girl.
I used to get Barnes and Noble gift cards and kept them on hand for christmas and birthdays. Lately I have been redeeming points for home depot for Hubby Bear. I gave him a $50.00 gift card for Fathers Day and I am currently watching my mail for $100.00 in Home Depot cards for Hubby. I have over the span of my time here received three to four hundred dollars in cards. But I was fairly inactive the first seven months of this year due to my illness. I also donated about 3000 points to NOCH over the holidays.

1. about 3 weeks.
2. 818 gather points to date, I havent redeemed anything
3. I have received one $20 gc for inviting 5 people to gather. that was cool.
4. you have to earn at least 3000 pts a month to make any cash.. and basically its 3000 = $50, and I think you get cash in increments of $50 (so if you get 6000 pts in one month, you'd get $100 and so on.. ).

Though I joined Gather at the request of my best friend last summer, I didn't begin activity participating (at his insistance) until Valentine's Day/mid-February this year. Though I continue to read, rate and comment occassionally, I don't write much any more...thanks to others with problems here. I currentlyu have almost 18,000 points and have never cashed them in yet. (I'll wait until I settle into a new home next week before I do send for my cash.) I qualified for money payments here after my very first money, so I won't be redeeming by points for gift cards...just cash! Making money here is easy...follow the Gather "Golden Rule': write/post, read/view, rate and comment. I don't participate in the promotions much, so I'm not getting 'extra' points that way...just the old-fashioned way. And, no, you don't creep me out. If anything, it's the other way around...LOL!

I've been here since the end of March (so almost 5 months now) and have earned enough for one $50 Borders card which I used to buy a couple things for my new office and some books for the kids :-) I'm trying to save up for another one of those. It seems to take me a while to get enough points but with work I don't get to be online as much as it would take to move along faster :-)

Well i feel silly. Points? What Points? i signed on to Gather through the Borders website when they were offering the first chapters contest earlier in the year. i never have finished my novel, so i didn't enter the contest. I got several invitations to join people, and i answered them just because i thought they were writers and that would be interesting. i'll definitely check out the points though!!

2. HOW MANY GATHER POINTS DO 'YOU' HAVE AND HAVE REDEEMED? I have 1653 pts and haven't redeemed anything.

I have been a member here since Oct 27 2006 but I joined at a really bad point in my life. So I never really did anything with this site until about a month ago. Right now I have 660 points but I just redeemed for a $50 Home Depot card about a week ago. To me, that is just as good as cash because we are trying to fix up our poor excuse of a house.lol.


BTW- You do not creep me out.

I have been at Gather about a month. I love it so far. I have no idea what's going on though. I don't even know how you redeem gift cards. How many points do you have to get to get a gift card. Anyway, just loving this GATHER thing so far.

1) a little over a month 2) i have 1,222 points now not sure how, 3) I am working on interaction with folks,, i being disable i really dont get out much,,i like the gather, except the small bumps, I like to locals, and I like the stories and images for it like someone history..4) no cash no worrys 5) the bounus ?? no you do not creep me out,, you are a true friend,, unless you are a snake, then sorry I hate snake they are creepy man,, real creepy,, :0}

Lets see...
1) I've been here since January.. I was going thru a VERY bad break up and needed somthing to throw myself into, so Gather to the rescue!!
2) I have 1,426 points.. I'm workin for my $25 Borders card!
3) I've only redeemed ONE other $25 Borders card, but it bought me my Harry Potter book 7, so its all good baby
4) Although, I'm on Gather 5 nights a week for ATLEAST 5 hours a night, I don't make enough points for the cash option.. hmmmm... maybe Gather dosen't like me! hehehe
and
5) You so totally don't creep me out.. I love you to death.. even if you were slow with my quote today!! (;-D)

I've been here since Mar or Apr. I think. I have cashed out for 4-$25 Home Depot Cards and I now have around 480 points. I have heard the way to make cash is to get 3000 points in one month (?). Gather quickly became my website of choice after I found it.
