One of the people on my friend's list posted this same question the other day: How many points have you earned so far on gather?  I was surprised when I logged on to find that I was up to 180 (or around that number anyway).  That was AFTER cashing in my first 625 and was left with a balance of 40 or something like that.  I realized that just posting, commenting, and commenting some more, is probably helping me to earn these points. 

 

So your turn - how many points  have you earned? Also, leave suggestions or tips on how you earn your points!

I have 565 points right now. I just redeemed for a $50 GC about a week ago. I've done pretty well here. I have been a member for a while but I just started getting active in the past month or so. The 25 point video promotion helped me out alot.

I guess I've earned a lot more than that, since I've already received $125 in Borders gift cards. I'm back up to about 900 points right now.

I just received a $50 gift certificate for Home Depot.
My points are up again 2,201 and I comment on everyone
what they post and view all the pictures they post too. I
pick up new people by clicking on their name when I'm on
someone's page viewing an article. And then go to that
person's page and so on kiddo!

I can't believe how fast my points added up after not going on for a day...so I must be doing something right! But I can't wait to get up to a thousand, and then 3000 or so! I need to keep doing what I'm doing I guess! If you post it, they will come (the points I mean)!

Wow Sandra - that is great! I don't understand how people get so many points either! They must be doing something right, and I want to learn what that something is! I've been commenting and posting for the past three hours, and my points have only gone up by 15 or so. I wonder what is earning me points, and what is wasting my time!

If anyone has suggestions I'd still like to hear them! My gram said just comment as much as possible and it will eventually add up! I am waiting!

Wow Connie! You are doing fabulous! I was at 90 a couple of weeks ago after I cashed in for a $50 Home Depot card. I am now up to 407 this week. Posting articles and photos is a good way to earn points. I haven't tried the video thing. I also comment on other peoples articles and photos too.
