Why do people say that?
Those who say this are the ones who are married according to their choice, earning in a better valued currency, have children who are educated in world class universities, own cars and houses, play golf , have visited Disneyland and performed the great pilgrimage....
where as I a simple person, struggling hard for my education, working as an ordinary teacher for my pocket money,no house , no car,no great bank balance,a patient of hypertension with a tendency to gain weight 'before you know it' talkative....
am I being ungrateful?
am I looking at the wrong things...
I am not satisfied with my education, a simple Masters,
I have the gift of writing but I have not been able to publish a book....
my life partner has the control of family expenses because he is the main bread earner....I dont mind that as it saves me from going into the mad rush of the bazaar,
well, my son says I am not thinking rightly....?
when I think back....I find that I was born in a strife ridden place Kashmir..I never saw the place where I was born Srinagar..I cannot go there as my parents migrated to another country.
relationship of brothers was different, marriage -another story of tradition and culture,
But children? the Greatest Gift of Nature and Grandchildren, yet further Blessings of the Almighty....the love and joy one feels with them has no bounds....
but then.....my other self.....
for my personal success I face barriers and criticism.....then the thoughts strike hard
I am now thinking.....is my son right?
