Thuderball, Bride and Prejudice (the Indian version), Braveheart, anything with Gerard Butler in it (good or bad), Imitation of Life, Breakfast at Tiffany's . . . okay, that's enough.
Oh my, I love so many movies. My favorite movie to watch when I need writing inspiration is "Finding Forrester". (I'm not sure if I got that spelled correct.)
Gone With the Wind, An Affair to Remember, Dirty Dozen, Kelly's Heros, Arsnic and Old Lace, Jesus Christ Superstar, Gigi, My Fair Lady, Armagedon, Chocolate, Father Goose, Facing the Giants (ya, it is corney, but good), Kate and Leopold. Generally, most any musical and anything with Cary Grant. Oh, and 10 Things I Hate about you because I swear, those are my two daughters (almost) - lol.
I loved all the Lord of the Rings movies & Harry Potter movies, bec/ the books are so close to my heart & I adored watching their translations to screen. I agree w/ Lacey - Silence of the Lambs will never get old, and Serenity (& the whole Firefly series while it ran) rocked. I also have a deep fondness for offbeat darker comedies, like The Royal Tenenbaums & Muriel's Wedding. Jerrica - I still watch Emma whenever it's on late at night after my husband falls asleep - & fall in love w/ Jeremy Northam all over again every time. Amy - 4 words: Chocolat, Johnny Depp, Yum! Along those same lines: Don Juan De Marco. Must not forget my abiding adoration for tales like The Princess Bride & Legend either. And w/ that, I will leave someone else to rattle off about their favorites!
Call me weird-or maybe it's just that I don't many chances to watch a movie without the kids-but my fav movie right now is Transformers-Action, Comedy, Romance & Aliens all rolled into one! I never saw that one coming-just thought I was taking the boys for a summer treat!
Slingblade and Braveheart both good movies, I loved Bladerunner and Breakfast at Tiffany's sparked my and my husband's love of the song Moonriver gosh it's really hard to pick just one favorite.... I can't sorry
