At long last I have carved out a little time for the final three SHINE! SHOWCASEs. Having been gone a while, I hope that the next three people to be featured are still on Gather. If not, and you have a way of getting in touch with them, please let them know they have been featured; that I kept my promise. That said, here is the first of these three very interesting people.
Please join me in welcoming creative Bradley B. , a Honolulu born writer, musician and artist who now calls Minnesota his home. The other places where he has lived? Los Angeles, Sacramento, Texas, Mississippi, Florida, Virginia, New York, Nebraska and Colorado.
This father of two young ladies counts among his favorite books, IT, Lord of the Rings, The Catcher in the Rye and the Harry Potter books. Like me, he considers these authors favorites as well: Stephen King, John Updike and Walt Whitman . Bradley doesn't like to watch t.v.!
If Johnny Cash , Tom Petty and Marilyn Manson were all performing at the same time, Bradley who plays guitar and sings, would have trouble deciding which concert to attend! And that’s the short list!
This creative also tells us that he is co-founder of two bands: Downtime and Epicurious George. Bradley says, “I am a founding member of the Martin County Rock N Roll Historical Society-it's a group that is passing generational lines in the interest of music in my area.”
The artist Bradley lists these places where his artwork has been published: Outstanding Young Artists (featured illustrated portrait), 101 Ways to Stay Unemployed by Mike Davis (Cover and main illustrator), Politically Incorrect Playhouse by Mansion Comics ('ol Sully, That Damn Cat, That Fat Drunk Bastard, Alzheimer Ed and Stone Blind Ted)
It’s no wonder then that our busy bee Bradley’s favorite quote is: "One who works will live, one who sits will perish." (old Maori proverb)
What might you find surprising about our featured creative? “I used to be a cop,” he shares.
After carefully reading Bradley’s Gather articles, I came across men of war . It is just one example of Bradley’s evocative work. It touched me deeply. Wonder how it will affect you.
Best and keep shining,
Pamela

Oh yes I recovered... and I have pics which I am working on captioning so they'll make sense to those who couldn't attend. I was exhausted from the party but it was mostly from hard work more than anyting else. That and travelling for work and for vacation about did me in.
