My Fifth Grader Has A Language Quiz/Question For You

My fifth grader wants to know if there are any word pairs where one word ending with "H" makes a second real word if the "H" is removed. The words must be in English and spelled correctly. The first pair that comes to mind for me is d'oh/do. Are there more?

Wow! There turned out to be a lot more than I expected! I notice that nearly all the suggested pairs feature sh or th. I went through the alphabet and the only consonant clusters I could come up with to fit the criteria were those two. Maybe some other combinations exist, but I couldn't come up with any valid pairs using ph, ch, or gh ----> graph/grap touch/touc cough/coug for example.

Good observation, Jim. I wonder if it has to do with the loose spelling of English before grammar and spelling rules consolidated.
Now I'm going to be working on finding one ending in ph, ch, or gh off and on all day.
