Anyone been to Pump It Up?!

Today I went to Pump It Up with my daughter and her friend, Zach. For those of you who do not know what this is, it is a wonderful place for kids (and adventurous parents too!) to play. They have a bunch of blow-up things to play on! There is a huge round one with a higher flower in the middle you can climb on (like a moonwalk but better!), there is an obstacle course, a rectangle one with basketball hoops at each end, and a slide. Plus they only let in kids 6 and under (this is great for those of us with the younger kids!). You only have to pay per child too! Adults are free! You pay for 1 1/2 hours of play (for us it is $5.50, it may vary) and the kids can run around and jump! I just wish it was closer so we could go more often (it is an hour drive for us but worth once in a while!).

Anyways, the kids had a blast and i got a chance to talk to adults (doesn't happen all the time!). If anyone gets a chance to go to one of these places, I highly recommend it!

Yes, I have actually been to one. When I was in Texas visiting my brother and his family and my sister they had a friend whose child was having a birthday at Pump It Up. It was really neat to see all those blow up slides and stuff. The kids had a blast going down them, through them and bouncing around. I too would recommend parents with kids to go to one of these places.

Yup, we went with a playgroup once. Only it's $8 per kid here. Ouch.

We don't have any of those locally. Anything similar seems to wear out quickly in this area and close up. Oh well.

$8 / kid isn't too bad for 1 1/2 hours ... less than a movie but they're being active. Wish my kids were still that age. They're so big they don't let them on those things anymore for fear they might hurt a younger kid. :( My 11 y/o son is 5'3" and my 9 y/o daughter is not far behind at 5'.

i'd still pay $8 for 1 1/2 hours!

erin- i think they should have things like this for adults too! there was a dad there when we went that went on the obstacle course and the round thing by himself! it was pretty funny! his wife said that he was her 3rd child.
