We are desperately seeking awareness from Gather that the last ugrade has incurred a heavy cost- we have a group member who has been unable to post or comment since the "improvements". She has contacted them and received no assistance as yet and a disgruntled (I am being generous here) reply from technical support.

yes, I have friends in similar situation, including my sister in Japan who is totally "locked" out. Vivian, you've made a sardonic haiku fulfilling the requirements of Friday's Writing Essentials, and, as Grand Pubah for the day, hereby acknowledge your efforts by awarding you front page status (at least in the group!). I found a way to sneak through -- posting from another computer. And though said computer's owner wants his computer back, I had to come post here. You made me cry. In a good way.
Here's my contribution that is not a haiku:
I once was a funny Writin' Wombat But this week has felt more like combat Too bad Gather doesn't care Troubles, I've got more than my share But down here in Katrinaville, it takes more than that
Okay. That's horrid. Shall we consider that I'm on parole -- not totally free yet?
