Do any of you sell on e-bay or other retail sales places on the internet?

I have recently acquired a stack of DVD and VCR movies and thought I'd try selling them on e-bay.  Any suggestions or comments?

Sell the VHS tapes in a lot together, and don't expect much for them. ;)

I've sold DVD's on eBay with some success in the past, usually in group lots of 10-20 dvd's. I sold one set of DVD's and got almost $200, but not sure how many I had in the lot.

I sold something on ebay once and haven't had a whole lot of success since then. I'd love to think that I could sell my wedding dress, but I don't think I'd get very much for it. Good luck!

I sell text books and stuff on ebay and half.com and amazon.com not bad deal at all. I say go for it with the DVD's and such. Id try amazon.com instead of ebay since you dont have to pay to list the item you only pay if you sell it and you decide the price.

Go for it. Ebay is easy to use and very economical. I sell my books on ebay, or at least list them. 7 days of quality advertising for less than a buck. Can't beat that. If you want to see what I have been selling, visit risingstarauthors.com to see my books. Both are currently showcased there.

I tried to sell a few things on eBay but was put off by the listing fees. I paid almost ten dollars in fees, and sold nothing. So I listed books on Amazon for free, and sold almost everything I listed there. I'd really like to know how regular eBay sellers feel about those listing fees. How can you think it is worth it when many things listed don't sell?

One more thing - if what you're selling is DVDs and videotapes, you can list those on Amazon for free too.

My husbandand I sell on Ebay. My one piece of advice, don't use Paypal. Paypal does almost nothing to protect the seller and everything to protect the buyer, including frauds!

I'm going for it--I will try Amazon first. I think this is the route for me to go since yesterday I found a very rare 1st edition, signed copy of a book published in 1906 at Goodwill. I feel it was a prompt to pursue this avenue.

Some times I sell on ebay. But it has been awhile. I plan to again. Just as soon as I get another digital camera to take pictures.

i dont sell no,but i do buy,
if you mail me a list of movies,maybe ill take them off your hands.
mail me a list of movies and prices you want and maybe we can deal.
im a collector and have huge vast collection
i could open my own store with my colection

but if i were you and you were planning on selling on ebay,first thing,make sure you read carefully the conditions of selling thouroughly
but you can also sell on amazon.com and half.com(ha;lf is a partner of ebay)
read all conditions thourougly
they get their precentages of course

actually some advice atop is good,some not so good
palypal does protect the seller.but becareful with them for they will charge you more than they say they do..

and sell em seperate,not togeter.youll make more(sorry David)

and yes i agree,take pics of what your selling to advertise and the conditions of the items also

imyself never seen lots sold Heather,but you sound like you made out good

if anyone has dvd's or vhs for sale,full screen or wide screen,mail me a list of what you have,the condition and price,maybe ill take them off your hands

There are lots of people looking for stuff to sell on eBay. Post a flyer, or two, at your local laundry, grocery store, school, etc. Or, locate one of those eBay outlets that will sell for you.
