It was the evening and my mom and dad called us in and we sat down and watched him jump out of the LEM and walk on the moon. My brother turned eight years old the day before and and I was nine going on ten.
Everytime I see that picture of him on the moon I think of that night!
I was 8 years old. I watched it on a black and white magnavox. I 'm not sure which landing I saw at home and which landing we were assembled in our school auditorium to watch it on the school's black and white tv. I know I did both, but one was in the middle of the night.
|I was 8 then. I had a very rough life around then and try to block out most of it. That seems to have been blocked also. My ex-husband would proudly tell you and everyone else he was born that day. So the date is easily remembered. But that's it.
