Stalking an unknown
Being unsure of everything
Under a bright, blue sky.
Following an unseen prophet,
Answering to an unrevealed god,
Ignoring myself while deciphering
The whispering wind as it fills me
Creating a passionate silence,
Eternal knowledge teasing overhead.
When the world crashes down
And tears up the threads
In the tapestry of heart-speak
The mind runs away
To fantasy forests
And merry meadows
To let wisps of the breeze
Ease it to calm, every nerve to peace.
Then with clouds below your feet
And your face to the sunset
Birds and bees befriend you
And life begins again
For losing means not an endless loss
But rather a greater plan for life ahead.
Melodramatic moons and stunning stars
Stare back at nightfall
While tired eyes caress the horizon
And until dawn reason seeks shelter from the days' ruins
As they pass gently from present to past.
