Who Was Your Teen Idol?

   When you were in your teens, whose magazine pin-up did you have on your walls?

   For me, most of them were New Kids on the Block.  The other night we were channel surfing and I saw the name Donnie Wahlberg in the info bar.  I asked hubby to flip back to it, and there was Donnie, receding hairline and all, looking so serious.  This is the guy I used to watch sail through the air doing back flips on acrobatic wire on a pop rock stage!  Yeah, that'll make ya feel old.

Well the teen years were not very long ago. So I'll have to go with my preteen and early teen years. In which case, it would be Backstreet Boys and Hanson. At the time I had a huge crush on Nick Carter and Zac Hanson. Heck, I still think Zac Hanson is cute and yes, I'm jealous of his wife. Well, a little jealous.

Wow. I can not remember who my teen idol was. Most of my idols were professional athletes when I was younger. I remember my friend Teresa whose idol was Ricky Schroeder from the tv show Silver Spoons.

Well, David we just bought a new home at the start of the summer. Need little things to help make it more cozy and/or functional. So I'm going with the Home Depot gc. Off the top of my head, we need those little pegs that reinforce bookshelves to fix a couple bookcases, a curtain rod for our bathroom, a fan pull for the master bedroom, some stencils, paints & brushes so I can decorate the walls.

Well, Susan, Bobby Sherman and David Cassidy were my teen idols also. I saw Bobby Sherman in concert a few years ago in the "Teen Idols" tour and he is just as gorgeous as he was in the early 70's and he sounded just as good. Charlene, Ricky Nelson was my "pre-teen idol", even though his songs were made when I was a baby/toddler.

I was fickle. George, Ringo, Paul, John, Elvis and Paul Anka. When Westside Story came out, I think I went for George Chakiris. David Cassidy was a dreamboat!

I saw Paul Anka in concert once, in Atlantic City. Put on a great show! He showed photos of his family on a screen in the background during a really tender song he wrote about them.

I had so many!!! LOL! I loved New Kids on the Block, Mackenzie Astin, the guys from Poison, the list could go on for days!
