Has anyone been given an invitation to the CASH option this month?

CONGRATULATIONS!!

I qualified for the cash option my first month (February) activitely participating on Gather...and recieved E-mail notification on March 3rd. I also recieve notification each month since I have not cashed out yet and traded my points for money. (I'm letting them accumulate, so I get a nice big check!) The first two months, my invitation came in a very timely manner within days after the first of the next month rolled around. However, my May and June invitations were combined into one E-mail...which I didn't recieve until almost the end of July! (What's up with that?) Here we are at August 23rd...and I still have not recieved my notification for July. Not to mention, I've heard that some who have opted to take cash aren't recieving their payments in a timely manner, either. While it was only taking a couple of weeks to get 'paid' in the past; now it seems to be taking a month or so for your check to show up in the snail mail. It's going to at least be another month before I finally cash in...and it had better not take that long for me to get my cash!

I think I'll probably stick with the cards..

I'm nowhere close....only 700 points. I comment a lot but don't write too many articles. As for the cash, if I were you Rob, I'd cash in asap in case they decide to get rid of that option anytime in the future. My luck I'd accumulate like $200 worth and then they'd stop the cash option, lol. Good for you guys making that much though!

I have not recieved the invitation yet either and made well over 3000 points last month too. I reached 3000 mid month in July. I want to get to 20,000 and then cash out or get the gift cards for months I didn't get the 3000, I don't know when the invite will be. Some said once you accept the cash option you cannot go back to gift cards. I sort of wonder why that is. I would think if it is an OPTION you can choose which ever you want after that.

I don't believe any points from the 10 point photo deal counted as qualification for the cash option, so hope that your points were not from that. Of course, I don't know that for sure but saw it somewhere during the photo promo.

I had 3000 points in June but part were from the photo promotion.

I would love the cash option, but I wouldnt like giving up my GC option because what if I dont make it each month to that 3,000 mark I cant take that chance, I love my GC

Wilma, I earned over 3400 points IN ADDITION to the ones I earned from the image promotion. I made sure to subtract those points out when figuring my totals. And, I heard from Bridget, who got the cash option last month that you CAN switch back to gift cards if you'd like to.

Jill, it is my understanding that they haven't sent them out yet, due to awaiting a program revamp or something like that from the office move. I'm sure it will be coming just as soon as possible. So please just hang in there. And by the way........you go girl! What are you buying me with that fat check? lol

Hahaha- cash, very funny. I can even get my points past 300- I post, I comment, I post, I comment but I only see tiny point increases... No cash ont he horizon for me! :-D

My thoughts on the point option vs. cash. I don't think we need a cash option. Gather needs to figure out a way to offer the mastercard gift card or similar. Something that can be sent with cash on it that can be used almost anywhere. I think that would work better in my humble opinion. Borders is great as is Home depot but besides that all us hard workers on here are very limited with options. Just a thought. :D

I qualified in May and didn't get my invitation until July! You can always e-mail Gather support and see what they can tell you!

I made it for the first time too last month and have yet to hear. From what I have read, this is pretty normal though. It seems to take them a while.

Congrats on making it! It was a lot of work, but fun too!

I made 3300 this month and I am anxiously awaiting my invite for cash! So gather gods if u are reading this please send it my way!
