Once again grandma to be, I had to hurry as quick as the triple7 jet could take me.This time it was a better choice of airline,
I noticed a VIP travelling in the same flight and suddenly I felt important. Ah human nature! what are you happy about? If the plane goes down Allah forbid, you will be history...but all went well.Maybe I would have been famous anyway.
This time Dubai was just stirring when I landed, I was lucky to catch a seat in the little shuttle car, WOW I was at the visa counter in no time and soon I was pushing the luggage trolley..OH There is aunty' my son in law must have heaved a sigh of relief.....
July is a hot month and rightly so in the UAE.This year my grandchild was arriving in Sharjah, Ajman
'Amma, 24th early morning we will take a taxi to go to Qasmia Hospital'there we will have breakfast with tea and vegetable paratha'(paratha is a flat piece of wheat cooked in oil on a flat iron plate) My daughter anxious and stressed tried to find refuge in the tasty morning treat. We both sat somewhat relaxed in the waiting lounge of the hospital.
'The taxi was cool and comfortable'I remarked. 'Yes mama' we always take the one with the better meter'
'OH'I silently saw a flash, back home, the taxis have coverless doors, no window glass,no meter, sometimes the seats are shaky, and when its time to getoff the driver opens the door from the outside.'Well, at least we get a taxi'
'Hmmnn the tea is good'
The doctors examination revealed that the baby was due by evening'
and so we hurried home.....latenight Mir Abdus Sami was born.He weighed 4.2kg.
Big baby'Allah is Most Gracious'
what a joy though the mother had some seriously anxious moments, and that is yet another story.
Sami is a little darling, moving his neck to see the little world,to see his mama and papa and big brother Rafay.
'well, its such a joy to be a grandma,it keeps you awake for late hours, but 'Life is a wonderful gift of nature'
Thankyou Allah for the joy in July.
