They do controlled burns here too Jean. The fire on our state line was caused by lightning and then compunded because of lack of rain and high wind.
I added a bunch to this presentation -
several shots of the aerial assault,
plus some of the ones I took up on the fire-line.
If I remember right, when I was watching the news at the rental condo after a day of adventuring, there was a fire in Truckee. I never heard any more about it. I'm assuming it was contained?
