....well not only did we not go to New Orleans or the Myrtles..we just hung out in an apartment with no furniture, tv or internet!!
As you guys know my daughter just came home from deployment and her flight was delayed, so instead of coming back last monday , she came back on Wednesday. Her boyfriend was supposed to be back a week before her and his flight was also rescheduled. I felt so bad for them, just coming home from deployment, finish moving into a new apartment and having both their mothers stay with them.
I arrived in Biloxi last Tuesday afternoon, then Wednesday morning went to the Gulfport base to greet her with all the fanfare....then 3 hours later we were back to do it again for her boyfriend. We drove over to the apartment and the electric was off, so she stayed at the same hotel as me. The next day we ran around and tried to clean the very hot apartment in the dark(some areas). I started getting the feeling that LA was not going to happen. How could we go?
By Friday his mother came in from Arkansas, and all of us was staying at the apartment. The electric was on, but we had no furniture! It was coming on Monday. I came prepared..I had my two little camp chairs and my 9in black and white tv. .. we did nothing but hitting the stores. No historical houses, no museums and no movies.......but to be honest...everytime I go down there something always keeps me away from those other places...maybe I am not meant to go to the Myrtles...

I even got to scrub out the dirty tub(it had six months of non use with dead bugs in it)!!
...I guess this is it...I am going to be a mother-in-law!
Sandra, it was a little disappointing..but I did get to see my daughter. The first part of the trip was more productive! Even with the severe weather!! The MS part, just didn't go as planned. Coming home was good, the hotels, the food and even the drives.
Anyway, if I were in her situation, I can think of nothing better than to have my mother with me. Why suffer alone? LOL
Carolyn, lol..I know!! They are engaged one day and not the other! I actually brought their rings down with me. I do believe they will be married by this January.
