Christmas Gift Ideas for Men !!

Ok., I'll start off!!... I'm looking at our bedroom and I know he loves some comedy movies and scary movies. Another thing he loves is his hats.

My hubby love his Raiders attire and the kids know what kind of golf balls to get him. After that it gets tougher.

One year my mom got my dad a Chanukah bush. lol

I noticed it was all women posting? Nothing wrong with that, but where is the men hiding at now? LOL!

Here are some more stuff I noticed he loves:

A lot of kinds of CDs, XBox 360 elite, guitar (his favorite color, blue), video games, Old spice body wash.

My top 5 gifts I would like to get for Christmas!

1) Digital camera
2) Video camera that has recordable DVD's
3) Cool Cell phone
4) Any Power too from Dewalt, Milwaukee, or the like. (No cheap ones, they don't last!)
5) Clothes that fit with out going to shop for them!

Well, I am a "material stuff" kind of fellow. I like electronics, tools, cameras, video equipment, printers, computers, phones, music CDs and DVDs.

I remember one year we had very little. Christmas as not coming to our house that year. My wife asked me what I wanted for Xmas. I told her the following "What I would really like for Christmas is a roll of paper towels." That was the best gift I have ever received.

Sometimes it is not about money and stuff at all.

what bands/singers does he like?

A good idea to take in consideration, Ryan, but its pretty much men in general. Not referring to just my man! ;)

Other suggestions that my man loves: cigarettes and some cigars. :D

There are all sorts of sound equipment out there, I guess you have to consider, exactly what kind is he looking for, like when it comes to recording equipment, you have to figure how many tracks does he want to record into a song.

For instance I have a 4 track cassette recorder which is fine for solo musicians who wanna play more than one instrument on their songs, but if a guy has a band with 3 or 4 people or more, then you want to go a bit higher than 4 tracks.

A good example is that there could be a band with Drummer, Guitarist, Bassist, Keyboardist and Singer (well Singer could be playing an instrument or just doing Vocals for all we know).

Drummer needs 2 tracks, so does Keyboardist and so does Guitarist, that is 6 tracks yet Bassist and Vocalist need only 1 track each, so then for this band, you need an 8 Track Recorder (I am not talking about the old 8-Track Tapes of the 70's, I am talking about recording devices that will record 8 tracks onto same song).

There are also 16 track and 32 track recording devices but I think only an Orchestra would need a 32 track recorder, but some bands may need 16 track recorder if they need more than 8 tracks (afterall Tony Iommi from Black Sabbath recorded 3 Guitar tracks on this one track on the Sabotage album that has a choir on it).

So yeah 4 Track recorder is good for solo musicians, but if you have a band then it's good to have 8 track or 16 track recorder depending on if you only need 8 tracks or if you need more (when you also consider vocals and the fact some Drummers do use more than 2 tracks due to how many mics on the Drums, so you would need to see if Drummer is using one or 2 tracks or more than that), and how many vocal tracks are considered too in the decision as well.

Many men like sports so you may want to think of something related to sports, like tickets to a sporting event. I guess you could say that I am complicated as I am happy with whatever people give me as gifts. I am not picky. I like getting new clothing, especially casual attire. A lot of guys seem to like playing computer games or online games so maybe a game or an online subscription would be good. A boombox of some type would be good. When in doubt you can always get a gift card to a shop you know that guy likes.

My hubby is a big kid at heart (who's isn't?) and he loves gadgets that resemble what he played with as a kid (except, of course, the XBOX 360 which doesn't remotely resemble what we played with as kids). So, while flying home from CA I found in the SkyMall a miniature remote control heliocopter that is capable of 360° turns with a 50' range. Sadly, it's only offers an 8-minute play on a 5-minute charge ... but since that's what we women usually get, it seems fair, right?

Yeah, last year my oldest son (24) got my youngest son (5) a little helicopter that rose about 6inches off a pad with the aid of an arm. My poor 5 year old couldn't get it away from his biggest brother and brother in-law (26)!!
I f he plays guitar, a box of picks are usually welcome, or a new set of strings.
My man gets different t-shirts-my sister has started giving him a different "A Christmas Story" shirt for as long as they have 'em!

you can treat him like a prince on holiday ...wakle him with a kiss ..fix his trip to health spa ....if you know his type clothes ....buy them ...prepare a meal that he loves ...give him a surprise party with his guy friends (arrange it with his close buddy )--it could be in his fav bar..or a ticket to sport event ..if he is romantic type ..plan for a romantic evening at home or at his fav restraunt. bbq can be a option where he can grill with a beer in hand ..

Dad on the other hand is darn near impossible to buy for. He usually just goes out and gets whatever it is he wants, so we are stuck racking our brains trying to figure out what to get him...This year I plan to get him The Dangerous Book for Boys because he loves books and I think he would get a kick out of it.

My brother is easy to shop for because he has a wishlist at Amazon.com and I can just go pick something form it.

I'm pretty low maintainence when it comes to requiring gifts, I've always told my wife a six pack of socks some Jovan Musk and I'm fine!!!

I'm glad you put this question out there! My boyfriend is always very difficult to buy for and we've only been together one year! He's 42 and has anything he really wants so it's difficult to buy for those who get things they want when they want them anyways.

Kinda fun!!! Some more ideas.... Coffee mugs or coffee things (that you take with you that keep coffee hot- they have big ones and cup size), coffee pot, pants (kind he loves, levis, wrangler, etc), his favorite cologne, his favorite alcohol (Budweiser, etc., saves him money.. lol), a grill kit, knives, zippo lighters. I'll add more when I think of it! ;)

I noticed some cool gift baskets online, too. Just type in gift baskets in Google and most websites selling gift baskets usually have the option for "men, women, children/kids, birthday, holiday, etc.". Hope this also helps! :D

When I saw this article, I knew...but Erin Peters already said it! I gave my dad one last year and he couldn't put it down! People would come over and he would hardly allow them a turn! I got him the mosquito helicopter , eBay, $29.99! Good luck and let us know!

Business men or other men similar : business cards (blank ones for him to use), office depot or office store gift cards, kinko gift card, computer/pc paper, printer (a kind you think he'd like). Pens, pencils, etc. You can create a gift basket of these items.

Of course... blank CDs, DVDs incase he loves downloading music or movies? Don't ask me what kind of movies my man loves to download! lmao! It would definitely come in handy for my man, but I really don't care if he does this. It's a personal choice, and as long as he loves me only for me, I'm happy. :)

Shelving for DVDs/CDs... some on clearance at Meijers usually for 20 bucks for a big rack thing.

Video gaming guys or Related items?: Enter/Exit signs, lighting, neon wall clock, controllers and games for gaming system, bean bag chairs, bean bag design covers (so cool!), a rocking game chair..and of course, you can't forget a Sharper Image gift card! They have all gaming and most electronic needs met (and so cool place, but kinda expensive.. lol)

Shoes, socks and underwear (Never can forget these). A gift card for Jockey or other underwear store?

OK.. SOME MEN love porno -- you can always give them a gift card for a porno store incase they want to buy some porno videos instead of waiting to download them, etc. Porno videos are always EXPENSIVE and some guys would love this. NOT ALL GUYS love this though! Keep this in mind.. And of course, you may want to give this to him alone, if he's shy or it may be embarrassing around the other people gonna be involved.

You got movie stores - the rental kind. A gift card or year supply for the store? Movie Gallery? Blockbuster? Just a thought.
