Presidential Canidate Hillary Clinton is saying now that the "Surge" is working but we should pull out our troops from Iraq to honor them. This is just the latest in what is a intresting view from Sen. Clinton. She always seems to manage to be on both sides of the Iraq issue. She voted for the War and has made several statements since that have hedged her support without saying she made a mistake. Now she is not comfortable saying that we have not won in Iraq, yet she still wants a pull out. This leaves me with this question who can we really judge Hillary Clinton. She seems to want to tell us less about her real views and more a little what everyone wants to hear so she does not alienate any potential voters. Can she get away with this through a primary and general election or will she eventually have to tell us how she really feels.

She will say anything to get their "Clinton Dynasty" back in a seat of power.
"Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as 'internationalists' and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure - one world, if you will. If that's the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it."
David Rockefeller, Memoirs, 2002
I'm not a Hillary fan, but what question is Hillary answering when she says "It's working." This seems like a poorly written mish-mash of quotes and I don't know, frankly, what can be made of it.
Vickey, you are right. Hilary is two-faced. But no matter what you say about her, she is a good politician, and she knows her stuff. She also has a really good asset, Big Bill.
Hillary knows that we have a long term committment in Iraq, but can't admit that to the Dem primary crowds. She also wants to "get the hell out" of Iraq, but realizes that an "immediate" withdrawl is impossible, both politically and practically. She has to win the primaries first, so Republicans should be scouting for "sound bites" as we get closer to the actual primary elections, to use in the "general" election campaign.
Again, this is getting interesting.
Thanks, MDP! You get a "10," and thanks for publishing this to GRAFFITI POLITTI on Gather!"
She has to straddle the issue. A majority of Americans may be discouraged by the war but by no means a majority want a US defeat. It is a fine line she has to walk and so far it seems to be paying off.
So Hillary thinks we're kicking ass, but instead of completing the job we should just pack our bags and go home...........hmmmmmmm.
Meanwhile, our opponents regain their strength and come back to haunt us later. Sounds like the story line of every WWF grudge match since Jimmy Snooka beat up on Chief ThunderCloud.
