That answers your question. Yes, this is America, where not everyone is obligated to believe in your god.
If you believe in God then BELIEVE in Him.
Why do you need society to reinforce your religion for you all the time and bolster your faith?
Just BELIEVE !!!
any other's belief) and of state (our governing bodies).
While it is true that the majority of the Founding Fathers believed in Almighty God, they
did not want any one religion or church to gain control of our government. Thus, keep
church(religious beliefs) and state separate from each other.
Because the American Civil Liberties Union(a group supposedly formed to insure the liberties of all Americans) decided that having religious (Christian) statements in public
places violated the liberties of any one not Christian (Muslims, Budhists, Atheists, Gnostics, Pagans, Wiccans, I apologize because I can't remember them all) they should
be removed from any public place.
We are free, all Americans, to worship as we chose, we are not free to allow our religious beliefs to be imposed on others, and others are not free to impose their beliefs on us.
I hope you understand that no one can take away your belief, but you can't publish that belief to the public in government buildings.
Regardless of which side you are on, if you are interested in this issue, there is an excellent book - American gospel : God, the founding fathers, and the making of a nation by John Meacham
One of the cool things about this country is that people are allowed to practice any religion they want. There's no reason to have religious displays in public buildings. People have churches and homes where they can display anything they like.
