Should be safe... I've gotten 'official' correspondence from Gather that had 'gatherinc.com' as the return domain.

When in doubt, ASK! :-)

I get mail from Gather Inc. sent to my email address, not gather messages. In the past, who ever wrote to me asked me to respond to them at their gather email. Not support email.

They have our addresses for payments and gift cards. That was my (personal) red flag on tis. Check it out and let us know. ;-)

If i were you i wouldnt take any chances.write gather and ask them directy or ask the gather guides.
why play around when this could turn out to be a disaster.
identity theft,cc theft etc...

so,doublecheck and be safe,there are scammers running amok on the net

Carol, this is the correct gather support e-mail address. They have asked that all the winners send their home address so they can mail out the gift cards which were won in the Family Photo Contest. Usually e-mail from the office goes to your regular e-mail address on file. This is one reason to make certain that your current e-mail address is on file.

Sheryl, great comment. Any questions or concerns can be posted to the Gather AidStation. Just simply type helpme into the Try Your Own Tag box on the left hand side of any page. This will take you to the current days link of the AidStation where you can ask your question in the comment section and a friendly Guide will be glad to help you.

I got one of these too. I went onto the "Today on Gather" articles and scanned though them until I found one on the promotion winners. I actually had won and sent them my address. I wonderd also how they could send me Gift card that I have earned but could not figure out how to send me one I won!

Carol, I won that same contest and they do not send you a gather email. The send you a regular email requesting your address. It is safe.

It does't make any sense to me that they do it this way. My email went straight to my junk mail box so if another gather member hadn't given me a heads up, I would never get my prize. Go figure.

I, too, would think that You'd receive a email through Gather personal mail...
wait for an answer!!! You do not want to give just anyone your address.

Yes, this is legit, as I received a notice too. I didn't know what it was about either until I did a bit of investigating. You evidently won a $20 GC because of a photo or a comment posted to a photo during the Family Photo Promo. Congratulations!
Yes this is a legitimate address....I received a notice about the Billy Ray Cyrus CD I won and they wanted my address. The owner of the groups that sponsor the different contests don't have our addresses. I gave mine and in 3 days I had my CD.

They did send and ask for my address when I won a gift card in the New's Year's Resolution Contest, but they sent to gathermail.

Did you enter the contest?

I would do a search for Rebecca Lane and when you find her, send her a Gather email.

Family Portrait. The promotion is probably genuine I have no doubt. The thing is once you get that portraiit done they will show you the proofs and then pressure you to buy different sizes, multipule copies etc. It could wind up costing you a bunch.

It should be safe I got a email last year to do a report on a cd that was a lot of fun. I got to keep the cd of Rick Springfield for doing a report about it. I thought it was a great deal. Congradulations to you :)
