Smoked on the water

 I haven't been on here much lately.  We had a "business" get together Friday through dh's work. We met by a lake about 2hrs away.

We swam, had lunch, then swam again.

Dh took the kids out on a friend's boat to tube.  Monkey apparently had a rather spectacular wreck and did several cartwheels across the water.  While out they met some "damsels in distress" that got stranded on the water. They made several trips bringing them to their drop off point.  That plus tubing and swimming took several hours.  Apparently dh wasn't keeping up with fluid intake or sunscreen and this was several hours in full sun, in 100+ degree very humid weather.  Do you see where this is going?

Monkey started getting sick on the way back home and suffered heat exhaustion/mild heatstroke several days with fever, no sweating, the runs, and some vomiting.  I was able to control it at home with baths, electrolytes, and fluids but any longer on the water and she probably would have had to go to the hospital.  Frog was fine but she had more fluids and is outdoors a lot more than her sister.  Monkey had also gone swimming the day before.

The way home.  We also stopped at a restaurant in Conway.
