How Are Your Points For August?

I have 20,459 at the moment, though I've not redeemed any at all since early May. I do plan to cash them out... eventually... for cash. :) Just need to send in my form.

I cant reach the goal ever for cash. I try very hard too. From August 1st I have only made 1000 points

wow! 20,000 is alot of points! I'll never get that many.

Sherry, I would love to know how you do that. How many connections do you have, and how much time do you spend on this hobby?

I am new to gather and am still working on my points, have less than 200 still. Have been diligently commenting, writing some articles, and joining new groups and making new connections nearly every day. Most days, I am on gather, and despite the low point tally, am really enjoying it.

Only at 1,213 points... I am writing and posting everyday...

I am at 555 points for the month, but haven't been here much due to it being summer.

I am at 77, but just cashed in for a $25 Home Depot card, so I am pleased.

I'm just past 2900...only 225 to a $50 gift card

Tina & Heather, I have found that participating in the games seem to help...and there are many every day. Also, putting up your own game pulls in a lot of points fast if you get people playing...

Also, right now until the end of the month Gather is giving 25 points per video, if you have any you wish to post. I'm not sure I can do any, but it would be cool to get the point quickly for it.

I'm brand new so I have about, oh, 88 points.

They are okay I guess, forget to check them out, but I do pretty good so far, haven't cashed any in and am here about eight or nine months now.

My points are really never that great, and I even published a game that only one person other than me played. LOL

I'm at 2800 - only earned half that in August - on my way to another $50 Borders card to feed my book addiction

I've only got about 1700 points for the month. I'm totally behind on commenting. I usually average about 3000 per month, and last month I made about 3400, so I'm waiting for my email offering me the cash option. And, I need to get to work commenting so I make at least 3000 for this month too. I like to keep it in the 3000 range. That way, even if I don't get the cash, I can get a $50 Omaha Steaks gift card in a little more than a month (sometimes less). It's nice to get free food.

Though I really haven't written in awhile, I'm pushing 18,000 points...picked up over 1,000 this month so far. I also recieved two $20 Borders Books gift card for winning two of the daily 'contests' in the last "10 Points Per Picture" promotion. I've been busy cleaning out my house and selling things getting ready to relocate soon, so I haven't had much time to even read a lot or make many comments. I'll decide my future here once I ssttle into my new place.

I just cleared 1000 and I'm frantically trying to think of more ways to get more points. Is there any true success to earning 3000 in one month without spending endless hours on here commenting on endless pages of writing?

I have not figured it out yet... I think the points stuff is distracting really.

I don't know how people get the points they do. I must be missing something. I feel like I spend a lot of time on this site, but then again a lot of it is writing. I do play the games, but I am trying to look at more of other people's work and comment. Maybe that's it, I don't comment enough. I got one $50 Home Depot card already and I am going for another. I also do Mypoints.com and when my points get all credited I will have another $50 Home Depot Card. With three $50 cards I should get a lot of paint to pain the inside of my house. I have about 1200 feet of space I didn't paint yet, does anyone have an idea how much paint I will need in gallons. If you do let me know. Thanks

I have gone up 1200 this month, since I had a little over 1000 last month, I think. I get so confused. I am at 2200 some odd now. going for my second gift card.

I only have 485 points right now but I cashed in for a $50 Borders card on August 8th.

I have almost 400 and have almost been on here for a month. I wonder how people get so many points but mine seem to be adding up more.

I think one of the keys to success is taking part in any and all offered promos. The majority of my points came from the Mother's Day Photo Contest way-back-when and the photo promos - the 10 points per photo and the recent promo for the 5 top vote getters / day.

I have 500-some connections. I have some very good friends here, as well as some people who do not like me (I know who they are, but they probably think they're so very clever and sneaky that I'd never guess their identities - ha). I'm actually not on the site all that often, and when I am, it's mostly on weekends for an hour here or there. I'm totally upfront about the fact that the promos keep me coming back - I did very well with the 10 points per photo promo and with the most recent promo.

IMO, it's all about making good connections and keeping up with those people. Once you have loyal connections, your point total will never be stagnant.

I am almost at my second gift card.

I no longer get gift certificates. I get cash. I have $233 in my account. I need to cash out pretty soon. I thought I would use it to purchase Christmas gifts but with my surgery and all the time my husband took off from work to take care of me, money is short right now. We will have to use the gather money on some bills.

I am so far behind on my goals this month. I haven't been posting or commenting as much usual. Plus, school is starting, so anytime that I am online, I should be doing that. (I have 18 units and they are all online) I think that I am already suffering from PC burnout!

No gift cards but all my points are healthy and well, not a sign of flu or grumpiness in any of them. They're on the job, if networking with other points slowly. How have others found ways to motivate their points to breed?

I just started so I am at a whopping 48 points, but I am going to attempt to change that soon.

I never had even 10,000 points..wow.

I haven't earned much this month since I really haven't been on as much as in the past few months.
