You scram so fast you fall—
Then scramble to your feet and run
To dress way down the hall.
You’re back again before I blink,
The paper’s hardly read,
“Let’s go!” you say and gaily wink,
The morning now decreed.
So down the hall I go in tow,
My coffee almost spills;
You rush me so, your eyes aglow,
Your laughter cures my ills.
“Okay,” I say; “My bailiwick!”
And off you go, but say--
“I’m coming back, so dad be quick”--
I know I will obey!
The zoo is yours for play today,
Your zeal is mine to love;
You dance your day’s entranced ballet
While watching turtle doves.

BRAVO!!!!
Hi, Marinela. I'm glad you like it. I thought it fit your sense of "love and light".
Thank you, Brandea. Nice to see your words again.
Thank you, Robert. I agree; it's all in the adventure!
Beautifully put; however you've set yourself some high standards here on Gather, so we expect nothing less...
No pressure...
:-)
