I've seen rain before but this is ridiculous. I've lived here since 1979. In all those years, I have only seen a continuous thunder and wind storm like this once. Here, we either blow away and die or it's over. It's been thunder, lightening, and whopper winds. The temperature is high in the 80's after 105 degree weeks, we're freezing. I can't imagine the pounding Texas and Mexico are getting. We're getting the outer bands of this monster storm. Glub, Glub! Get out your rubby ducky.
I couldn't finish this article that I started at 3:07 am. We got hit with a tornado and the lights went out. They are back on again, but at about 1:00 pm.
That hurricane reformed over OKC and especially hard hit was El Reno, my town. Cars and semi's floated off the road. We are a town with a small lake. After last night the media is calling us, "The Island of El Reno." See I don't believe in "Global Warming," but I'd be a fool not to believe in "Climate Change." It's scary.

Michigan weather is sucking right now, got some flood warnings in some places... we're supose to get rain/storms most the week.
Hubby says that storm is headed our way - central Indiana - yikes!
Take care.
I'm sorry to hear this. I hope you and you house are all safe. We don't have terrible terrible storms her in Michigan, by Lake Michigan, but when we do I am fascinated by it. I love the hipe and the news coverage, and the pictures. I think I'm a closest tornado/ hurricane/ lightening strike/ blizzard chaser. I filled 5 notebooks with notes when Katrina hit, and cried like you would not believe. I still cry when I hear about those poor people and their still devistated lives, but if Dean hits, I'll be watch Geraldo Riveria, Anderson Cooper, And that Weather Channel guy standing out in the rain and lilting sideways.
Keep us posted. Hope you do okay!
I am glad that you are okay, just remember to leave if they tell you to. Homes are replaceable YOU AND YOUR FAMILY ARE NOT.
