Favorite cake?

I love vanilla and chocolate but wanna try something new..any ideas? There aren't much cake other than these two.. not that I know of? Maybe I'm wrong?

If you wanna do it from scratch...my dad made a cake for my 30th...years ago, and i"m sure he got it from epicurious.com bon appetit's web site. It's a peanut butter cake with homemade chocolate frosting. Delicious!!! Worth a search...

I love to bake so I experiment with a lot of cakes -- one of my current favorites is carrot cake with a cream cheese frosting -- really tasty!

I'm making from scratch a devils-food cake with mocha icing (from the turquoise Martha Stewart Living cookbook) tomorrow, for my hubby's birthday. I made it last year and it was SOOOOOO good!!!

Banana Pudding Cake - I made one for my sons birthday. I took a Vanilla Layer Cake, cut it in a few slices, put some banana pudding in between the layers and then frosted it with vanilla icing. It was great. I also put banana slices in between too.
