I am not good at writing but wanted to let you know how I was dealing with my anxitey attacks lately. I went to my family Doctor two weeks ago for my depression and anxiety attacks. We discussed the medications I am taking, stopped one of them and added cymbalta, he said try it for 3 weeks. In the first week I noticed I am not as tired, and I had fewer anxiety attacks. I find I worry about things that really are no big deal, that I have no control over, and probably will never happen. Then I get bad anxiety attacks. I think that is called negative thinking or something like that. I have used a lot of the suggestions from my last article to deal with the anxiety and some are working. I bought a sound machine that plays relaxing sounds so I can listen to it before I go to sleep and I can stop worrying and get some sleep. I was working 54 - 59 hours a week and feel I was not getting the amount of sleep I needed. I quit my one job that I worked at for six years, but I think was a stressor and I could afford to do right now. I thank everybody for the suggestions and hope to have less anxiety soon.

take care and let us know if there are ways we can support you.
I am glad that you have trimmed down your work load. I find that when I get rid of all of the unnecessary stuff that it helps my anxiety levels. A job is important, but if you can make it with the one, it is a good thing:)
Taking a good look at your life and deciding that one job was too stressful was a wonderful thing to do for yourself.
I hope the new meds continue to help.
Anxiety attacks and depression are both hard to deal with. I suffer from both. Cymbolta just made things worse for me. I felt like I was in a haze all the time and I tried it for over three weeks. It only got worse for me. I am on zoloft now and it is helping as well as a few more meds for depression and anxiety.
Bonnie,
Last night was the first time I had been on gather since I had emergency surgery. I felt both humbled and honored at the comments that my friends left for me on my daughter Victoria's article concerning my surgery. I cried while reading them all. I have some truely wonderful friends on gather. You are one of them. Thanks so very much for the kind comment.
I hope your anxiety gets under control for good. If you ever want to chat about it, just let me know. Have a wonderful night.
Keep us updated on your progress.
Blessings

I hope by now you have discussed that with your doctor and that you have found a way to improve that. They sound debilitating.
Sending lots of prayers for your good health.

It is about using 1 simple step to control panic attacks symptoms.
I hope you will recover from your disorder so that you can live your life to the max.

You are not alone. One in five people who come to me have GAD (generalized anxiety disorder) symptoms from the daily stresses of life. I believe in natural cures for this debilitating illness and would like to recommend a book if you dont mind. It is called Aromatherapy & Herbalism by Rochelle Moore (amazon) and it contains ancient recipes for anxiety, panic attacks, fears, phobias, as well as physical cures. My own clients have come back to me delighted after reading this and trying her very simple remedies and they also feel like they are taking back control by saying no to anxiety
